Rock/Paper/scissors: an introduction to Zine-Making

  • Garfield Park 1000 Park Avenue South Pasadena, CA, 91030 United States (map)

Long Beach Community Media Arts, Sunday September 18 : 11 AM - 1 PM

How did people build communities around their favorite books, movies, music, and other interests before the age of the internet?

The answer: zines!

For nearly a century, people from all walks of life have made and distributed their own zines—small, self-published magazines—as a way of sharing ideas and connecting with like-minded people. Join us for a free workshop where we’ll go over all the basics of how to make and distribute your own zines. Materials provided; open to students ages 13 to 17. Register to reserve your spot!
