EPFC LA, Saturdays September 24 - November 12: 1 - 3 PM
Activating the Archive is a free 8 week, 8 session film class for youth to explore and question the nature of visual archives and the many ways that they can be activated through new practices. We invite local youth to question what makes up an archive, delve into existing collections and create their own short piece through film and video.
This class is FREE to participating teens with all instruction, materials, equipment and field trips provided at no cost by EPFC. The program also includes field trips to local community archives in the Los Angeles area. Tap cards with fare will be provided.
***Students MUST be able to attend all sessions of the class. Consistent attendance and punctuality are absolutely crucial to the program. Guest lectures, scheduled field trips, and the filmmaking process are all necessary for the full educational and creative experience.***
