FOOD SOVEREIGNTY FROM TURTLE ISLAND TO PALESTINE: FILM SCREENING AND DISCUSSION

Monday, September 16: 6:30 – 9 PM

Join Climate4Palestine in the Moberly community garden for a film screening and discussion exploring the connections between food sovereignty and the Palestinian liberation movement. We will hear from Haneen from Palestinian Youth Movement and Lori Snyder, a Métis herbalist and educator, to learn about Indigenous food sovereignty both locally in so-called “Canada” and in Palestine. The discussion will be followed by a viewing of the film Foragers which explores the impact of Israeli nature protection laws on Palestinian foraging customs.

The event will start at 6:30, with a discussion followed by the film screening outdoors at dusk. Dress warm! Follow @Climate4Pal on Instagram for updates and to sign up for the event.
