PUSH, PEDAL, PUMP: A Screening and Workshop Series about Surfing, Cycling and Skateboarding in Southern California

Saturday, September 16: 5 PM – 8 PM

Echo Park Film Center + Boos Cruise + Long Beach Community Media Arts are excited to announce an upcoming skate meetup on Saturday September 16 from 5–8pm at Lincoln Skatepark in Long Beach! 103 Pacific Avenue Long Beach, CA 90802.

We are thrilled to be collaborating on this event and joining cinema with skating!

We will be skating from 5–8pm with additional film related activities happening throughout the evening!

Starting at 5pm we will be guiding participants on how to load and use a Super 8 camera. We will be creating a collaborative film of the skate meetup!
From 6:30-8pm a film program of local skate videos will be looping on our mobile screen :)

For those of you coming from central Los Angeles, we will be meeting up at the Little Tokyo Metro Station at 3:15 pm and riding out at 3:45 pm on the Metro blue line (A line) all the way to the downtown Long Beach Metro station! Sign up to receive more information on the public transit carpool.
Come to skate, come for the films, come for it all!

This event is QTBIPOC focused. All levels, all wheels welcome!
*Everyone will be filling out safety + approval to film waivers, please let us know at the meetup if you would not like to be filmed**

Thank you to our humanities advisors Dino Everett and Chris Giamarino.
