More information on Ovarian Psycos (72 minutes, 2016):
Riding at night through streets deemed dangerous in Eastside Los Angeles, the Ovarian Psycos use their bicycles to confront the violence in their lives. The film Ovarian Psycos rides along with the Ova’s, exploring the impact of the group’s activism, born of feminist ideals, Indigenous understanding and an urban/hood mentality, on neighborhood women and communities as they confront injustice, racism, and violence, and take back their streets one ride at a time. – Women Make Movies

Stick around after the screening for a Q&A with Ovarian Psycos rider and activist Xela and Joanna from Roots in Motion moderated by El Cine founder, actor and educator Mariana Da Silva!

Thank you to our humanities advisor Dino Everett. Thank you LA Rooted, Roots in Motion, Ovarian Psycos, Bicilibre, El Cine, La Vacacicleta and Las Fotos Project!!
