Super 8 Filmmaking and Eco-Processing w/ Echo Park Film Center

  • Heavy Manners Library 1200 North Alvarado Street Los Angeles, CA, 90026 United States (map)

Using the classic home-movie camera, participants will explore the history, application and tender sophistication of small format filmmaking. After capturing images around Echo Park, we’ll return to Heavy Manners Library to process our film using a developer we’ll make from organic ingredients such as instant coffee. Workshop Facilitators: Karissa Hahn and Andrew Kim.

Andrew Kim is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles, CA. He has made short films about things like ghosts, robots, and miniature horses. He teaches sound for film at the California Institute of the Arts.
