THE ORCAS MICROCINEMA WEEKEND

The Orcas Microcinema in partnership with EPFC and Funhouse Commons present a weekend of Super 8 filmmaking and community film screenings. Orcas Island, located within the San Juan Islands in Washington State is the backdrop for a collaborative, multi-generational Super 8 filmmaking workshop taught by EPFC. In the evenings we will screen youth centered feature films, curated by the Orcas Microcinema, including CLEANERS (2019, Glenn Barit, Philippines) and HUMMINGBIRDS (2023, Silvia Del Carmen Castaños & Estefanía “Beba” Contreras, USA). This is the inaugural event for the Orcas Microcinema, which was founded in 2024.
