Spring medicine GARDEN

  • Moberly Community Garden 7646 Prince Albert Street Vancouver, BC, V5X 3Z4 Canada (map)

Workshop at EPFC North Moberly Fieldhouse, Vancouver
2024’s theme for Moberly Medicine garden looks at the role of traditional ecological knowledge in climate change adaptation. Situated in the neighbourhood’s rich history of Indigenous communities and as a South Asian cultural hub, we will cultivate the garden as a container for living wisdom. Each workshop involves gardening, making medicine, and discussions on traditional knowledge.

The workshops will be held indoors and outdoors, so please dress appropriately for the weather, but know we can warm up indoors as needed. Located at Moberly’s field house, home to Echo Park Film Center North, you are welcome to arrive late or leave early, but it is recommended to stay for the whole workshop. You are also welcome to bring a jar or container to take home any medicine we make. People of all ages, faiths, abilities, and communities are welcome to this anti-oppressive and inclusive gardening workshop.

Facilitated by Alisha Lettman, a Sindhi-Jamaican artist and educator who has been stewarding the Moberly Medicine Garden since 2021.
